Adopt Miss Lucy! Let Her Join Your Family Today!

San Andreas, CA…Allow us to introduce Miss Lucy, a spayed female American Staffordshire terrier mix, estimated to be about 1 year old and weighing 50 pounds. Lucy arrived already named; we kept the name so she wouldn’t get confused. And after all, who doesn’t love Lucy?

She is a dynamic, energetic girl who would benefit from training classes. Older children recommended due to her exuberance. Lucy is smart; she has already learned “sit” and her leash walking skills improve daily. She would be a good motivator for hiking or jogging. And just imagine waking up to this face!

She will enjoy playing ball with you, bringing it back within 5 feet. A dip in the pool is one of her fun activities. Lucy is friendly with most other dogs and wants to play.

Blackjack is her best friend; they have had many playdates, however, a meet ’n greet is required if you have another dog.

All dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter are up-to-date on their routine vaccinations and will be microchipped. All unaltered cats and dogs must be spayed or neutered before they can go home with you.

Animal Services now has a Fee Flexibility Program!
When the dog or cat population at the shelter is at 80% or above capacity, the total adoption fee will be 50% off––reduced to $40 for dogs and $30 for cats. The adoption fee for cats who arrive at the shelter already altered will be $10. With the 55-5-5 Program, any time an adopter is 55 or older and adopts any pet over 5 years old, the adoption fee is $5.
