San Andreas, CA…Calaveras County is extremely pleased to announce that the Maury Rasmussen Field is featured in the latest issue of Business View Magazine, which is a national aviation focused publication. Maury Rasmussen Field is a general aviation airport situated between San Andreas and Angels Camp that hosts hangers, tiedowns, fuel, land & sea flight training, and aircraft maintenance services.

The airport was built in the mid 1980’s and has recently undergone reconditioning with new runway surfacing. Additional infrastructure improvements are planned for future. Additionally, the airport is awaiting notification on whether it will be awarded a $650,000 Federal Aviation Administration grant to install a solar array and battery storage system, thus saving a considerable amount of money on electricity and making it resilient during power outages.
