Arnold, CA…Al Reita Painter, 77 of Arnold, Ca. passed away on May 23, 2024, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones at the time she passed. Born on December 19, 1946, Al Reita Jean Sherwin – Painter, grew up in Indio, Ca. where she graduated high school in 1964 and attended College of the Desert community college. She went on to graduate from Mercy College of Nursing in San Diego in 1969.
She was a registered nurse for 50 years and spent 35 of those years as an operating room nurse. Throughout her life she touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of strength and kindness. She left an incredible mark on the hearts of patients, friends, and family alike.
Al Reita loved the outdoors and playing tennis. She enjoyed volunteering as a docent at the Logging Museum in Arnold and visiting Calaveras Big Trees State Park every chance she could get. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, laughter and adventurous spirit.
Al Reita is survived by her loving husband David of Arnold, Ca, her 3 siblings, Jayne, Nick and Stan, 3 daughters, and 4 grandkids.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 23, 2024, at 1pm at the Ebbetts Pass Community Center/Independence Hall, 1445 Blagen Rd. Arnold Ca 95223.
