Minor Injuries In San Andreas Collision

San Andreas, CA…On May 2, 2016 at approximately 1650 hours an Angels Camp man was driving his Cadillac southbound on SR-49 north of Treat Ave. at two miles per hour, slowing for stopping traffic ahead. An Arnold man was driving his Mercedes to the rear of the Cadillac at 5 miles per hour. A Valley Springs woman was driving her Chevrolet at an unknown speed to the rear of the slowing vehicles. She failed to perceive traffic slowing ahead.

The front of her vehicle impacted the rear of the stopped Mercedes. The Mercedes was propelled to the right and collided with the side of unoccupied, Mini Cooper parked along the west curb of SR-49. The Chevrolet continued forward colliding with the rear of the Cadilac and came to a stop. The driver of the Cadilac applied the brakes and came to a stop. All parties waited for CHP to arrive at the collision scene. Alcohol and/or drugs are not a factor in this collision.
