Jeffrey A. Keller 1955 ~ 2024, Memorial on August 17

San Andreas, CA…Jeffrey A. Keller August 17, 1955 ~ July 26, 2024 (age 68). Jeffrey “Jeff” Keller, 68, passed away, July 26, 2024, at home surrounded by family after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Jeff has been a member of Calaveras County for the last 34 years, having spent time in West Point, Mokelumne Hill, and most recently, San Andreas.

Jeff was born to Alexander and Katherine Keller in Minot North Dakota, August 17, 1955. Jeff is the oldest of 8 siblings. He was preceded in death by his father, Alexander Keller, brother Brian Keller and brother-in-law Ray Jallen. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Helen, children Jason and Sierra, granddaughter Amelia, Mother Katherine, siblings Vickie (Gary) Verke, Margaret Jallen, Todd (Melody) Keller, Bradley (Debbie) Keller, Mark (Nam) Keller, Erin (Steven) Pinkerton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeff spent his childhood in Orange County, later moving and settling in Nakoma North Dakota where he graduated from Nakoma High School in 1973. After graduating high school Jeff enlisted into the US Army, serving at numerous duty stations, including the Presidio of San Francisco where he was honorably discharged in 1976. Jeff met Helen in the Bay Area in 1983, they were married in 1986, and relocated to Nebraska where they had their two children.

The family relocated back to California in 1990, and settled in Calaveras County where they raised their two children. Jeff was a hard worker and spent a majority of his career in the Auto Body industry as an auto body/painter. Later Jeff received his class A and ended his career driving for Gambi disposal in San Andreas.

Jeff was very proud of his 34 years of sobriety. Some of his best years were spent riding his motorcycle with his clean and sober club, the Messengers. Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, being with his family and taking long rides on his Harley.

A memorial will be held on August 17, 2024, at Turner Park in San Andreas at 11am. The family welcomes you to come share memories and your favorite side dish and celebrate Jeff on what would have been his 69th birthday. Jeff will be laid to rest at the Sacramento National Cemetery on August 19th.
