Angels Camp, CA…Richard Allen Corell May 24,1959- October 25, 2024. Richard Allen Corell passed away October 25, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family, after a two year battle with cancer. He was 65 years old.
Rick graduated in 1977 from Bret Harte High School. He began his college career at Modesto Junior College, then transferred to San Jose State where he earned his Masters Degree in Art. While earning his degree at San Jose State, he enjoyed being a tour guide for the Winchester Mystery House. After completing college, he moved to Lake Tahoe. Rick enjoyed his time working at Harrah’s and Caesars casinos as a cashier and tour bus representative.
Rick shared his love for art with many students at Rio Linda High School for more than 35 years. Rick loved and enjoyed every memory being a Rio Linda Knight.
Rick’s talent in art was remarkable. His passion for holiday decorating and gardening was one of a kind. Rick’s personality and humor will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Rick was preceded in death by his loving parents, Alan and Patricia Corell. He is survived by sisters Debbie Roots (Chad), Cherie Gomes (Jeff), nieces Ashlee and Tara, nephews Jesse and Tyler, Great nephews, Raiden, Sawyer, Dawson, and Bensyn, great nieces, Blakely and Riley.
Visitation will be from 2:00PM to 7:00PM on Tuesday, November 5th, with Rosary to follow at 7:00PM at Angels Camp Memorial Chapel, Angels Camp, CA 95222. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, November 6th, at 11:00AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Angels Camp, CA 95222.
