Bear Valley, CA…The west side of the Sierra Nevadas are about to witness the dawn of a new era in extreme skiing. Bear Valley Mountain Resort proudly announces The 805 Grizzly Challenge, presented by Outside TV. This high-stakes downhill skiing competition is set to take place on March 14-15, 2025, promising adrenaline, grit, and glory on the resort’s legendary Grizzly Bowl.

Combining the precision of ski racing with the raw intensity of big mountain skiing, the 805 Grizzly Challenge is designed to push competitors to their limits. With a $25,000 prize purse on the line – including $5,000 for the top male and female champions – this event is going to draw elite athletes from renowned resorts such as Mammoth, Palisades, Alpine, Sugar Bowl, Kirkwood, Mt. Rose, and Bear Valley.

Qualifying Rounds: Friday, March 14, 2025

Finals: Saturday, March 15, 2025

Location: Grizzly Bowl, Bear Valley Mountain Resort

Entry Fee: $125 (includes a three-day competitor lift pass)

Prizes: $25,000 total purse, $5,000 for first place (men and women categories)

Format: A thrilling combination of ski racing and big mountain GS skiing, set against the dramatic terrain of Grizzly Bowl, 100 males and females, ages 18+
