Mountain Ranch, CA…The Calaveras County Emergency Services Community is greatly saddened by the tragic passing of 19 year-old, Central Calaveras Fire and Rescue Protection District Firefighter Thomas James “TJ” Wennhold on January 15, 2025.

Firefighter Wennhold started his fire service career at the age of 15 as a cadet at CCFRPD, graduated high school in June of 2023, worked on dual degrees in fire Science and Emergency Medical Services and was set to graduate from Columbia College in the Spring of 2025.
