John Teagle 1965 ~ 2025

Angels Camp, CA…John Teagle April 28, 1965 ~ February 16, 2025 (age 59). John Brereton Teagle, 59, passed away at his home surrounded by his family and friends, on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

Born on April 28, 1965, in New York to John and Barbara Teagle, John spent his early years in San Diego before making the Sierra Nevada Foothills his home in his 20s. He took great pride in his work, especially in the later years when he had the privilege of working alongside his son at the Carson Hill mine.

John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law and friend. His home was always open to family and friends, where he was known for his generosity, love of cooking, and warm hospitality. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his loved ones, and his deep love for his family was evident in all that he did. He enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time in the pool with his family, creating cherished memories along the way.

John had a heart bigger than life itself and was always the first to lend a hand. He was deeply devoted to his family, always looking out for them, sometimes more than they thought necessary—but always with love. Whether it was checking in too often or simply being a constant source of support, his kindness and protective nature left a lasting imprint on everyone he met.

John is survived by his loving wife, Loretta; his beloved son, Trent (Kary); his cherished grandchildren, Thea and Hayden; his sister, Deborah; his nieces and nephew, Haley, Kendall (Alex), and Noah and great nephews, Landon and Malcolm. He also leaves behind a close-knit circle of extended family and friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, humor, and unwavering devotion.

John’s legacy is one of love, strength, and generosity—a man who worked hard, loved deeply, and lived fully. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
