San Andreas, CA…Meet Buttercup (A058368), a male Smooth Collie mix, 11 months old, 60 pounds. This affectionate, playful Smooth Collie mix is ready to bring joy to your home! At just 11 months old, Buttercup is full of puppy energy and loves people. He bonds quickly, enjoys belly rubs, and will happily sit for treats. He also loves to chase a ball—though he hasn’t quite mastered bringing it back yet!
Buttercup is a friendly, well-socialized pup who would thrive in an active home where he gets plenty of love, exercise, and continued training. He’s a strong, enthusiastic young dog who would love a family ready for fun and adventure! All dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter are up to date on their routine vaccinations and will be microchipped. All unaltered dogs must be spayed or neutered before they can go home with you.
Animal Services now has a Fee Flexibility Program!
When the dog or cat population at the shelter is at 80% or above capacity, the total adoption fee will be 50% off––reduced to $40 for dogs and $30 for cats. The adoption fee for cats who arrive at the shelter already altered will be $10. With the 55-5-5 Program, any time an adopter is 55 or older and adopts any pet over 5 years old, the adoption fee is $5.
3/8 – Free Rabies Clinic: FOCAS is hosting a free rabies vaccine and microchip clinic on Saturday, March 9 from 9-11:30 AM at the Government Center, 897 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas. Dogs must be leashed, cats must be in a crate. Must be a Calaveras County resident.
