Angels Camp, CA…The Calaveras Community Foundation (CCF) started off the new year by adding three new board members. CCF proudly announces the addition of Deb McGee, Jamie McMurray, and Don Stump to its board, fortifying its mission to uplift and empower the community. All three new board members share CCF’s commitment to service and bring a wealth of diverse experiences to the foundation.
McGee is a lifelong resident of Calaveras County and currently resides in Arnold where her family has lived since 1945. Her grandparents were founders of Ebbetts Pass Lumber. With a deep passion for building personal connections, McGee is eager to make lasting contributions to the community. She brings a strong background in nonprofit financial management, having served as the manager and bookkeeper with the Calaveras Big Trees Association, as well as bookkeeper for the Calaveras County Historical Society. McGee is an active board member of the California League of Parks Association, further demonstrating her commitment to supporting her local community. “I’m very excited to join a team that has Calaveras County’s best interests at heart.” Said McGee.
A 30-year resident of Angels Camp, McMurray brings a wealth of knowledge and experiences related to community organizations and foundations. She currently serves as the Angels Camp Museum Foundation Secretary and is the summer youth education director. “I feel truly privileged to be a part of CCF,” remarked McMurray. “I look forward to working with the board to further help the residents of Calaveras County.”
Stump has dedicated 45 years of service to the Calaveras County community. He and his wife live in Hathaway Pines and are semi-retired from their ice cream shop, JoMa’s Artisan Ice Cream & Factory. In addition to his entrepreneurial background, Stump volunteers weekly at the Knight Foundry in Sutter Creek and serves as a docent for the Arnold Rim Trail. When asked about his involvement with the foundation board, Stump expressed “I’m very excited to collaborate with the foundation members and look forward to creating opportunities for Calaveras County residents.”
CCF depends on volunteer board members to continue its projects and grant programs, scholarships, and community service engagements throughout Calaveras County. CCF is currently the only all-encompassing non-profit philanthropic organization in the county. The addition of McGee, McMurray, and Stump to the CCF board reinforces the organization’s commitment to excellence and community engagement. CCF President Terry Beaudoin shared his enthusiasm stating “We are thrilled to welcome our new board members. Each brings a unique expertise, passion, and dedication that will significantly contribute to advancing CCF’s mission and our ongoing efforts to enhance and improve the lives of Calaveras County residents.”
