Angels-Murphys Rotary Celebrates Students of the Month

Murphys, CA…Today we celebrated two special students of the month! Sierra Johnson & Caitlyn Johnson!

Sierra Johnson
Sierra is often quiet in class, and this partially masks her talent in leadership. Sierra is an avid water sportster, representing Brat Harte in water polo and swim team. She is a member of FFA, Outdoor Science Club, and Forestry Club. As editor of the school Yearbook, Sierra knows to delicate balance between delegation of tasks and deadline followed by deadline followed by deadline. Sierra’s community involvement includes Cabin Leader for the Mark Twain Science Camp. Sierra’s college selection has narrowed between Northern Arizona University and Chico State, where she plans to major in nursing. Sierra’s hobby seems to be interior decorating, as she frequently gives her room a fresh look by redecorating. This need for change fits in well with he career path of becoming a traveling nurse to provide urgent care throughout the world.

Caitlyn Johnson
Caitlyn does not do anything half-way but keeps her pedal to the metal. If you were to ask about her involvement, Caitlyn would not provide many examples, but under interrogation, one could see how full is her plate. Caitlyn has been a member of FFA, Forestry Club, Outdoor Science Club, Skiing/Snowboarding Club. Within the community, she has been involved with Hazel Fischer Science Fair, Bear Valley trash cleanup day, Summer Volleyball Camp, the Junior Bullfrog Track Meet, Adult Floral class, FFA food drive, Kids toy drive, women’s blanket drive, and the thankless job of assisting parking at our local Cross-Country Meets. She has represented the Bullfrogs in Volleyball, Cross-Country, and Track. Caitlyn plans to attend Colorado Mountain College to major in psychology to prepare her career with clinical psychology It is no surprise to learn of hobbies which include many outdoor activities such as climbing El Capitan. Caitlyn has studied abroad in United Kingdom, which indicates her future holds no bounds.
