Kennedy Meadows, CA…The Caltrans Long Barn maintenance crew has reached the summit of SR-108 / #SonoraPass with their Pass clearing operations. Caltrans D10 will continue snow removal operations over the summit until meeting the Caltrans District 9 Sonora Junction maintenance crew.
SR-108 / Sonora Pass will remain closed to eastbound traffic at Kennedy Meadows Resort & Pack Station until the road is officially reopened to motorists later this spring.
Our Long Barn Maintenance Crew will continue working 10hr shifts / 7 days a week, and Caltrans would like to remind the public that pedestrian access is prohibited beyond closure gates during pass clearing operations.
