Drugs, Firearm and Stolen Guitars Found During Search Warrant

Sonora, CA…In the early hours of 5/2/25, TCSO Deputies responded to a restraining order violation at a residence on Enramada Drive in La Grange. Upon arrival, they spoke with the homeowner, 58-year-old Scott Bruno, and later located the restrained person, Samantha Meckenstock, hiding in the garage. Meckenstock was taken into custody without incident. A search of her person and belongings revealed suspected methamphetamine and 32.9 grams of fentanyl. She was booked into DDC on charges related to violating the restraining order and possession of a controlled substance.

Later that day, TNT Detectives began a follow-up investigation, which led to the execution of a search warrant at Bruno’s residence. Bruno was not home at the time of the search. During the search, detectives located additional suspected fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and evidence consistent with drug sales. TNT Detectives also discovered numerous items of music equipment, primarily guitars—over 15 of which were confirmed stolen from the Bay Area.

While inspecting the music equipment, TNT Detectives located an AK-47 rifle with a high-capacity magazine concealed inside a speaker. The investigation into the stolen property is ongoing, and detectives are working to return the recovered items to their rightful owners. At this time, charges related to drug sales, illegal possession of a firearm, and possession of stolen property have been recommended to the District Attorney’s Office in connection with this case, which remains under active investigation.
