Meet Dougie (A058863), a male Alaskan Husky mix, about 1 year old and 59 pounds. Dougie is a striking young pup with a loving heart and a soft spot for human companionship. Found as a stray, we don’t know much about his history, but he’s quickly shown us how sweet and affectionate he can be. He walks beautifully on leash and loves spending time with volunteers.
Dougie may prefer to be the only dog in the home. He hasn’t quite figured out how to interact with other dogs yet and tends to react when he sees them—even the playful ones. We suspect he simply hasn’t had much experience around
other pups. If you already have a dog, we’ll set up a meet-and-greet at the shelter to see how they get along.
Dougie has been at the shelter since May—over two months now—and it’s time for this affectionate, eager-to-love boy
to find his family. With his gentle nature and solid leash manners, he’s ready to blossom in a home where he can soak up attention and feel safe, loved, and understood.

Please use Dougie’s intake number (A058863) when making inquiries.
