San Andreas, CA…Meet Sunny (A059348), a male Golden Retriever, about 4 years and 65 pounds. Sunny is a handsome Golden Retriever with a heart as bright as his name. When he first arrived, he was shy and uncertain, with a healing puncture on his nose and a worried look in his eyes. With gentle care and patient love from staff and volunteers, he’s begun to relax and rediscover his Golden charm.
Sunny now enjoys cuddles, gentle pets, and leaning in close for reassurance. Though sudden loud noises can still startle him, his confidence grows daily, and his sweet, affectionate side shines more and more. On walks, he trots happily, nose to the ground, eager to explore and take in the world. He keeps a clean kennel, suggesting he may be housetrained, and he walks politely on leash, curious about every smell along the way.
This boy is also learning the joy of doggy friendships. He’s had some fun playdates and seems happy to meet most other dogs. Fetch may not be his strong suit just yet, but he’s eager to learn and shows the gentle, loyal nature that makes Goldens such beloved companions.
Sunny is looking for a patient, loving home where he can continue to blossom. If you’re ready for a devoted friend with a golden heart, Sunny is waiting for you.
