The Dog Days of Summer have passed, and we are cruising towards Labor Day Weekend before fall officially arrives on the autumnal equinox (9/22/2025). It’s been a cooler summer than usual, and before we know it, winter will arrive.
Speaking of winter, BVAC is preparing with snowcat servicing, trail work days, and hiring. While all full-time positions are filled, we seek a few adventurous individuals to work in our store and at the trailhead on weekends and holidays. https://www.bvadventures.com/employment
BVAC Trail Work Days are scheduled for October 11 & 25 (both Saturdays). These outings venture onto our cross country ski and snowshoe trails to clear obstacles such as brush and tree limbs. Afterward, we enjoy a complimentary lunch and make predictions for the upcoming winter. https://www.bvadventures.com/events/bvac-trail-work-day
Summer trail maintenance also occurs with the Bear Valley Trail Stewardship. Their remaining events are August 23 & September 13. https://www.bearvalleytrails.org
