Mountain Ranch, CA…Friends and family gathered on July 26th in Manteca to bid farewell to Salvatore Fichera, 76. Sal was born in San Francisco to Anna and Nathan Fichera and sister, Margaret Ann. Sal spent decades in the city, working, learning, exploring, and expanding his mind. One of the truly great modern Renaissance men, Sal never ceased in his quest to know more, see more, do more. An early adopter of environmentally protective gardening, Sal relocated to Calaveras County in the 1980’s and embraced his new homestead.

Salvatore was beloved and is greatly missed by his family and friends. It really was a Trip.
