Calaveras County, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various road construction on State Route 49 (SR-49) from the Tuolumne/Calaveras County line to the Calaveras/Amador County line. Work will occur as follows: A moving closure for striping operations on both northbound and southbound SR-49 from the Tuolumne/Calaveras County line to Frogtown Road beginning Wednesday, June 1, 2016, through Friday, June 3, 2016, from 8:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.

One-way traffic control for pavement work on both northbound and southbound SR-49 from the Tuolumne/Calaveras County line to Frogtown Road beginning Tuesday, May 31, 2016, through Friday, June 3, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.;

A moving closure for striping operations on both northbound and southbound SR-49 from Copello Drive to Angels Road in Angels Camp beginning Tuesday, May 31, 2016, through Friday, June 3, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.;

The #1 (left) lane on northbound and southbound SR-49 from Poole Station Road to the Calaveras/Amador County line will close beginning Wednesday, June 1, 2016, through Friday, June 3, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.;

One–way traffic control for striping operations on northbound and southbound SR-49 from Pool Station Road to the Calaveras/Amador County line beginning Tuesday, May 31, 2016, through Friday, June 3, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, and construction related issues.
