Murphys, CA…The 2016 music season in Murphys Community Park kicked off with the Calaveras Community Band’s special Memorial Day Concert. Conductor Mic Harper led the band in a program that honored the men and women who have served in the armed forces in the past and those currently stationed around the world.

The band, that traces its history to California’s gold rush days, will perform a mixture of patriotic songs, marches, jazz, Latin music, and even some instrumental opera. Bring a blanket, chair and a picnic dinner as food and drinks will not be sold in the Park.
