Valley Springs, CA…Gail M. Ventress March 18, 1954 ~ December 5, 2025 (age 71). Gail Maxine Ventress, resident of Valley Springs, CA, died Friday, December 5th, 2025, at the age of 71. Gail was born and raised in the Bay Area, a graduate of Castro Valley High School class of 1972. She was raised by her beloved parents, Mother, Margaret Soares (Keller) and Father, Walter Soares; her birth father was Paul F Ventress, all of whom preceeded her in death. She is survived by her two sons, Steven Ventress (Michelle Ventress) and Curtis Borland, sister Bonnie Ventress, brother Danny Ventress, sister in law Michelle Ventress, nieces Courtney, Allissa, Hannah, and Taylor, and nephew Justin.
Gail had a long career working in aircraft service, repair, and fabrication as a business, parts, and purchasing manager and was highly regarded and respected by her coworkers and colleagues, spending 30 plus years in the industry throughout California, including Oakland, Redding, and Stockton airports. Later in life, she worked on the facilities and custodial staff for Calaveras County, where she worked until she retired. Gail was a very hard worker, providing for her family and serving as an example of integrity, consistency, and perseverance for her sons.
“She was a loving mother who would do anything for her boys. She was always there for her family, no matter what the circumstances were. Her love was unconditional. The world lost an amazing woman, but heaven gained an amazing angel.” Curtis Borland
“It is with a heavy heart that I speak about the passing of my dear Sister Gail. Losing a sister is losing a piece of your heart. She was not only my big sister, but my rock, confident, and protector. She was my little mother hen. I always looked up to her and would go to her for advice. She was a great listener, would never judge you but would tell you like it was. Growing up, we shared countless adventures, my favorite being our many years of summers spent in Pine Grove. From a child to an adult, oh the stories I could tell! From mischief to a bit of mayhem, too, we have so many fun memories. I will cherish each and every moment. As sisters, we have a special bond that can never be broken.” Bonnie Ventress
