Albert Michelson Elementary & Hazel Fischer School Have Been Recognized As “GOLD RIBBON SCHOOLS.”

Vallecito, CA…Calaveras County Office of Education is pleased to announce that two schools in Calaveras County have been recognized as Gold Ribbon Schools. On June 1, 2016, California Departments of Education recognized both Hazel Fischer Elementary School and Albert Michelson Elementary School, both part of Vallecito Union School District, as Gold Ribbon Schools. State Superintendent of Schools, Tom Torlakson gave a speech commending all Gold Ribbon Schools being recognized in California for their great work on behalf of students. Superintendent Torlakson called them, “the best of the best”.
