Hey Good People!! Copious Amounts of Sunshine & Prime Conditions in Bear Valley ~ Mattly Trent

Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People!  Welcome to a new week and beautiful wintertime weather.  As I mentioned yesterday, high pressure ridging has parked itself over the West Coast and brings with it copious amounts of sunshine over the next 7-10 days. With a high of 41F and an ENE wind in the teens and some casual gusting into the low 20’s, our Bear Valley winter wonderland is prime for all things snow!

We’ll continue to see temps rise by a few degrees each day this week and cresting around 50F for the coming weekend before a slight downward trend after that.

Conditions at the BVAC Nordic Center are in some of the best shape we’ve seen in years as the recent snowfall has given us the goods to continue to provide some incredible skate and classic grooming.

On-piste up at BVMR is exceptional as well with all aspects providing great groomers for your carving pleasure. Off-piste conditions are starting to vary based on aspect choice but some soft snow can still be found so hit up your local Patroller for some insight there.

The side and backcountry conditions have settled out into the “low” hazard rating and have been there for a few days now but there are still some wind affected areas that should raise some caution so don’t forget to check out the S.A.C. for the daily report.

That’s all for now.
Peace Out,
Mattly
