Angels Camp, CA…James McCutcheon May 22, 1942 ~ April 15, 2026 (age 83). James McCutcheon, born May 22, 1942, passed away on April 15, 2026. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherie McCutcheon; his daughter, Brooke McCutcheon; his stepchildren, Elam Grimes and Jennifer Joses; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jim was well known for his easygoing personality. He also cherished taking his grandchildren to Morro Bay to camp on the beach for many years, creating lasting memories with his family.

Jim grew up in Fresno on his family’s farm, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for family life. He later spent 50 years living in Sonora before moving to Angels Camp with his wife, Sherie.

Jim and Sherie shared a love of travel, especially trips to the beach. He also enjoyed cooking, camping, and spending time outdoors. Jim will be remembered for his dedication to his family and the simple joys he found in life.
