A Bit of Wisdom from Henry David Thoreau

Concord, MA…Sometimes a reminder that the posts of apparently wonderful lives of everyone on social media can be a nothing more than a mask to wear in public.  A quote from Thoreau is a reminder of that…

“Most men lead lives of quiet desperation.” Henry David Thoreau

Desperation of those who don’t accept the future- an electric future with clean energy from clean sources.
The end of pollution based energy, which is more expensive, and unhealthy.

A society based on equality for all, respect, tolerance of cultures that also only wish to live in peace and equality.

A reliance on science, not superstition , quack conspiracies.

I’m all for solar energy. However why as we go further into the digital age everyone is statistically more miserable. A WALL-E world is not a world any rational person would want to live in.

So we should just stop progress?
In a Democracy, the people decide, not the greedy soulless corporations, what we have now.
Why we must restore the power of the people- representative government.
As it is now with a conservative SCOTUS, the corporations decide.
That is what we got with the Citizens United ruling.
Legal bribery of our representatives, enough Democrats to allow this corruption.

Of, By, For The People remember?

Our Constitution gives US the power.

One of the core principles of our country is the pursuit of happiness. Many surveys have shown less and less people believe this is possible. How is this progress? Have our phones made us happier?
