Vallecito, CA…Anthony O’Geen December 15, 1945 ~ June 17, 2026 (age 80). Anthony “Tony” O’Geen, a devoted husband, beloved father, and lifelong educator, passed away peacefully last week. He was a long time resident of Vallecito, California. Tony spent his life dedicated to education, famously known to many as “Oge.”

As a teacher and coach, he possessed a rare, quick-witted ability to make a room full of teenagers laugh and learn simultaneously. Beyond his impactful career in the classroom, Tony was a true gentleman who cherished every moment in life, and who left an unforgettable impression on everyone he met.

To his family, he was affectionately known as Brother, Grampy, or Dad. He was the kind of father, brother, son, uncle, cousin, and friend that people never forget.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sherrie, his sons Toby, Josh, and Mark and their families, his brother Joe as well as the multitude of family and friends who deeply adored him. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
