Copperopolis, CA…Mr. George Forrest Pickerill June 1, 1945 ~ July 3, 2026 (age 81). George Forrest Pickerill III, age 81 of Copperopolis California passed away on July 3, 2026. He was born on June 1, 1945 in Charlottesville, Virginia to George Forrest Pickerill II and Barbara Jesse.

He served in the United States Air Force and graduated college at Cal State University Hayward with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree. Known for his quick wit, kindness, and passion for family, travel, and sports. George left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers, Phillip and Leonard and mother-in-law Ruth Romero. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Romelia (Romie) Pickerill, his son Brian Pickerill (Star), his daughters Shannon Pickerill and Jacqueline Schram (Wes), grandchildren Brilynn Pickerill (Gage), Triston Morgenstern, Mikian Pickerill (Kaitlyn), Cayden McCloud (Lilly), Carly McCloud, Trislin Morgenstern (Cody), Brodie Rice, and Lilly Rice. Also survived by his brother Jack Pickerill (Pam), sister-in-law Karon Pickerill, nephews Steven Pickerill (Emily), Jacob Pickerill, Frank Ciglar, Jason Wilson (Angelica), nieces Jodi Remeneski, Brooklynn Remeneski, and brother-in-law Raymond Carrasco. In addition, countless other beloved great nieces and nephews.

George’s presence in all of our lives will be painfully missed. Invitations to gather family and friends for a celebration and honoring of George’s life will be sent out soon.
