Mr. Aydin Rhys Etherton Jordan 2005 ~ 2026 (Updated)

Boulder Creek, CA…Mr. Aydin Rhys Etherton Jordan September 27, 2005 ~ August 16, 2026 (age 20).  Aydin Rhys Etherton Jordan, 20, passed away unexpectedly on August 16, 2026, at his home in Glencoe, California.

Aydin was born the second of two children on September 27, 2005, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to Kelley Rolander (Brendlen) and Jeremiah Jordan (Etherton). His early years were spent in Pinehurst, Idaho, near his grandparents Jackie (Etherton) and Rod Fields, before moving to California. He grew up with his mother and sister in Glencoe before moving to Santa Cruz County in 2013, where he later graduated from San Lorenzo Valley High School in 2024, with plans to study at Columbia College.

Incredibly creative, talented, and knowledgeable across so many subjects, Aydin loved to cook, garden, play video games, and build creations and work with his hands. His family cherished his drawings, leatherwork, and woodwork, as well as his joy in sharing his passions and making those around him laugh.

Aydin loved his summers visiting grandparents, friends, and family in Pine Creek, Idaho. He spent much of his time there exploring, camping, four-wheeling, swimming at the family water hole, and learning about local mines and their histories. He held a deep love for animals, namely his snake, his cats, and local bird wildlife, and found immense peace roaming nature and seeking out places rich with history.

Aydin is survived by his parents, Kelley Rolander (David Rolander) and Jeremiah Jordan (Trudi Mag Oireachtaigh); and his older siblings, Annika Jordan, Caroline Rolander, and Tarryn Brunton.

He brought so much light into the lives of many, and the world would shine brighter if he were still here with us. Those who remain must live for him in ways he no longer can, keeping him close in our hearts and minds.

Family and friends are invited to attend his celebration of life, held at The Bear Creek Community Center located at 15685 Forest Hill Dr, Boulder Creek, CA 95006 on Thursday the 27th of August from 3-7pm.

Funeral arrangements were trusted to San Andreas Memorial Chapel, 254 West St. Charles PO Box 328 San Andreas, CA 95249, (209) 754-3361.
