San Andreas, CA…Meet Chiara (A061095), a young adult brown tabby and white cat who has finished raising a family and is ready for a home of her own.

Chiara arrived at Calaveras County Animal Services with quite an entourage: six tiny kittens, only a couple of weeks old and completely dependent on their mama. The little family soon went into a loving foster home, where Chiara and her foster mom worked together to give Cooper, Chuck, Chad, Cali, Cindy and Crystal everything they needed to grow and thrive.
Through it all, Chiara proved to be an exceptionally patient and devoted mother. Now her kittens are healthy, active youngsters who no longer need her constant care, and it’s finally Chiara’s turn to be fussed over. This sweet girl is friendly and very gentle, loves attention, and seems more than ready to trade the responsibilities of motherhood for the considerably easier job of being someone’s beloved companion.
With her classic tabby markings, pretty white accents and affectionate personality, Chiara has all the makings of a wonderful family cat. She could be your loving sidekick, keeping you company around the house and happily soaking up the attention she spent so many weeks giving to her babies. And if you happen to think motherhood shouldn’t end with an empty nest, she might even enjoy having one of her kittens come home with her.
Those six kittens—Cooper, Chuck, Chad, Cali, Cindy and Crystal—are also available for adoption. After growing up together in foster care, they’re happy, healthy, playful youngsters who enjoy plenty of chasing, wrestling and climbing before settling down for cuddles. But this week, the spotlight belongs to their mama. Chiara has done a wonderful job getting six babies ready for their next chapter. Now she deserves a happy ending of her own.
