San Andreas, CA…Meet Charli (A061391), a female Pit Bull mix, about 7 to 8 years old and weighing 55 pounds. Some dogs have a special gift for making everyone around them feel loved, and Charli seems to be one of them. With one striking blue eye, one warm brown eye, and a smile that’s hard to resist, this sweet girl is memorable at first glance. But it’s her gentle spirit, mellow personality, and wonderful way of connecting with people that truly make her special.
At 7 or 8 years old, Charli has left the wild puppy years behind, but she still has plenty of enthusiasm for making friends. She greets other dogs respectfully and loves to play with them. She’s also done well around cats, showing little interest in the ones she’s met. With people, she’s an affectionate companion who gives wonderful hugs and seems to have room in her heart for everyone.
Charli is a pleasure to take on walks, with excellent leash manners and a relaxed, cooperative nature. She already knows “sit,” enjoys treats, and keeps her kennel clean, suggesting she may be easy to housetrain. Her combination of good manners, playful spirit, and easygoing personality makes her an especially appealing companion for someone looking for a dog who’s ready to settle into family life.
Charli hasn’t always had an easy life. She was abandoned and had to fend for herself before coming to the shelter. Yet despite that difficult experience, she has remained remarkably trusting and affectionate. Now she deserves the security of a loving home, where meals are regular, kindness is plentiful, and she never has to wonder whether someone will be there for her.
For someone looking for a loyal friend, a walking companion, or simply a warmhearted dog to share life’s quieter moments, Charli has so much to offer. She doesn’t need grand adventures to be happy. A comfortable place to rest, people to love, and a few good friends would make her world complete.
