Vallecito, CA…We would like to than Sgt. Josh Crabtree from the Calaveras Bomb Squad (The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit) for spending a few minutes with on scene of an explosion that happened just before 5am this morning that injured three. An approximately 6 inch long explosive device detonated and injured the parties. Two of the injured parties were medi-flighted to UC Davis and a third injured party was taken to Mark Twain Medical Center later in the day. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit and assisting were members from the Stanislaus Sheriff’s Department Explosives Squad and to process a crime scene that encompassed a fairly wide area.

They had to process several buildings and trailers to not only collect evidence but to make sure the area was safe to reenter. More to follow as the details are released…
