WWII Veteran Robert Dean Kincanon 1922 – 2016

San Andreas, CA…Dean was born in Waterford, CA on July 4th, 1922 and passed away peacefully on June 29, 2016 at Avalon Healthcare with Wanda & Lance Oneto by his side. He attended Oakdale High School. After school he entered the Army where he was a member of the 45th Tank Battalion in WWII driving truck for Patton’s 3rd Army and Liberated Dachau Concentration Camp.

After the war he played baseball for the Modesto Reds as a pitcher for 2yrs. He retired from the Calaveras Cement Plant as a truck driver. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2600.

He is survived by several neices and nephews, and loving friends Lance & Wanda Oneto. He was preceded in death by his wife Jo Kincanon.

Burial will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetary on July 26th at 11am. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 28th at 12pm at the VFW Post 2600 in San Andreas.
