Free Family Concert with Dawn Harms 11am Saturday At Bear Valley Music Festival

Bear Valley, CA…Dawn Harms has captivated family audiences for years with her fun and engaging educational show. She takes her audiences on an exciting musical adventure that spans more than 300 years. From the music of Bach and Mozart to contemporary composers, her energetic show delights people of all ages. Dawn’s varied career ranges from chamber musician, violin soloist, concertmaster, to music director and conductor. She is a member of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, Associate Concertmaster of the New Century Chamber Orchestra, and Co-Concertmaster of the Oakland East Bay Symphony. She also records regularly at Skywalker Studios for movies and video games. She is the Co-Founder and Music Director of the Music at Kirkwood chamber music festival, Music Director and Conductor of the Bay Area Rainbow Symphony and currently serves on the music faculty at Stanford University.

This highly interactive show offers the audience many opportunities to participate. Some may compose music, while others will have the chance to play the violin for the first time.

Dawn Harms presents an program that is both hilarious and instructive. You’ll hear squeals of delight from the children during her performance of The Hot Canary, complete with yellow-feathered costume. They will be enraptured by the Orange Blossom Special performed by a cowboy in an enormous purple hat and other special tunes performed by Dawn’s zany cast of characters.
