Traffic Update….Road Construction On Hwy 26 This Week

Calaveras County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various road construction activities on State Route 26 (SR-26) from Savage Way, south of Valley Springs, to the Calaveras/Amador County line. Work will occur as follows: One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-26 from Savage Way to Paloma Road for paving operations beginning on Sunday, July 31, 2016, through Friday, August 5, 2016, from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-26 from Hogan Dam Road to West SR-12 in Valley Springs for utility work beginning Monday, August 1, 2016, through Friday, August 5, 2016, from 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Moving closure on eastbound and westbound SR-26 from SR-49 in Mokelumne Hill to Winton Road in West Point for striping operations beginning Wednesday, August 3, 2016, through Thursday, August 4, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

One-way traffic control on east bound and westbound SR-26 from Winton Road in West Point to the Calaveras/Amador County line for guardrail repair beginning Tuesday, August 2, 2016, through Friday, August 5, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Motorists should expect 10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/ or materials and construction related issues.
