Bear Valley, CA…This Season of the Bear Valley Music Festival marks the 25th year that the pairings of talented Musicians and Art by Arts of Bear Valley Artists, will be offered. The Summer Show, is scheduled to run from July 22nd to August 7th, in the beautiful Alpine setting of Bear Valley. The Perry Walther Building, across from the Music Festival tent, is the location for this event. Admission is free to this Summer Show. The Art Show will be open on all days when musical entertainment is featured and will close at the end of intermission.
Arts of Bear Valley, is comprised of local Artists from Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties. Participating Artists donate their time installing and hosting the show, as well as helping out with Creative Events designed especially for school aged children.
This year, Elaine Cahill leads the Art Adventure Program titled “Rockus Raccoons.” It will be offered on Friday July 29th, in two sessions 10:30-12:30 and 1:30-3:30. You may pre register your child for this fun art project in the Bear Valley Library. Another day for your child to create will be on Saturday, July 30th , at 12 noon, after the Children’s Music in the tent. Karen O’Neill will lead this project with the aide of several other artists. Bring your child by to join in the fun! Both events are free.
New to the show this year will be a vote for “The People’s Choice Award”, all attendees will be encouraged to place their vote during intermission or upon entry to this juried show.
Raffle tickets will be available for purchase, at the show. Each year, four Artists in the group donate an original piece of Art for this Event. It is your chance to win original Art for as little as $1.00. All proceeds go to the Bear Valley Music Festival to support future events, as well as a thank you for this wonderful venue.
