Gustav ‘Frank’ Wharregard, 90, Passed Away On July 31

San Andreas, CA…Gustav ‘Frank’ Wharregard passed away peacefully at his home in San Andreas, CA July 31, 2016 following a short battle with cancer. He was 90. He is preceded in death by his wife Beverly (Pozar) Wharregard in 1977. Frank is survived by his son Glenn (Jessica) Wharregard of Rail Road Flat, CA, his grandsons Jeromie, Travis and Frank (Terah), great grandson Peighton and great granddaughter Ruby.

Frank, an only child, was born in Walnut Creek, CA on August 13, 1925 to Nels and Elsie (Buchwald) Wharregard who moved the family to Calaveras County in 1935. He attended Banner Elementary School and graduated from Calaveras High School. He worked as a logger for 15 years before his career as a mechanic with the Calaveras Cement Plant from 1955 to 1985

Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing and more recently spending time with friends having morning coffee, working on his model A truck, tractors and entering his hit and miss engines in various tractor shows.
He was a member of Calaveras Masonic Lodge #78 for over 60 years

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the San Andreas Masonic Hall, 5 West Saint Charles Street, San Andreas, CA. All are welcome to attend and share their story in the life of Frank Wharregard.
