San Andreas, CA…On August 13, 2016, at approximately 0850 hours, an 85 year old Santa Rosa man was driving his 2006 Saturn SE eastbound on SR-12 west of SR-49 at approximately 55 MPH. He allowed his vehicle to drift off the roadway onto the south shoulder of SR-12. He then lost control of his vehicle, crossed into the opposing lane, and exited the north side of the roadway. The Saturn went down an embankment, collided with a metal fence post and overturned, coming to rest on its roof.

He was extricated by San Andreas Fire Department personnel and transported to Mark Twain Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries. Alcohol and/or drugs are not considered a factor in this collision.
