Valley Springs, CA…On 09/10/16 at about 0015 hours, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office investigated a drowning incident at Lake Camanche Reservoir. Witnesses observed a female swimming with a floatation device in a cove located near the intersection of Arrowhead and Camanche Drive. The woman was observed going under the water and did not resurfaced. Witnesses, Lake Camanche Rangers and Sheriff Deputies attempted to locate the female with negative results.

Calaveras County and Amador County’s Dive Teams were notified and conducted a search of the area at day break. At about 1105 hours on 09/10/16hours, a 32 year old woman from Harker Heights, Texas was recovered from Lake Camanche. The woman’s identity is being withheld for next of kin notification.
