Rail Road Flat, CA…On 09-12-16 at about 0750hrs, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a structure fire on the 900 block of Ridge Road in Rail Road Flat. Upon arrival, Deputies observed a fully engulfed motorhome. Calaveras County Fire Investigation Unit and Detectives responded to the motorhome and located a deceased person inside the burnt structure. The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time pending autopsy results. The origin of the fire is currently under investigation.
