An official proclamation was presented at the Sacramento County Boards of Supervisors, followed by an awards ceremony at the Sacramento Public Library Tsakopoulos Galleria. Earning the title of Sustainable Business of the Year is a direct result of the insistence by Dave Vaccarezza that his family owned company remain on the leading edge of technology and innovation in their work of solid waste disposal; continually increasing their efforts in recycling, diversion from landfills and preservation of natural recourses. In the Spring of 2016, Cal-Waste Recovery Systems was granted a 6 star platinum rating from SASB. Cal-Waste and its staff continues to set their goal to create a cleaner, healthier place for us to live, work and play. One where the community can meet and exceed the environmental standards set by local, state and federal government.
Dave is honored that Cal-Waste received the 2016 Sustainable Business of the Year Award thereby recognizing the work his team has accomplished. He encourages all local business to become a part of this same effort and take advantage of the benefits the SASB offers:
