Murphys, CA…A 30 year old Arnold man was driving his 200 Nissan westbound on State Route 4 just west of Horseshoe Drive at approximately 35-40 mph. For unknown reasons he made an unsafe turn to the right. When he made his unsafe turn to the right he allowed the Nissan to leave the roadway and enter the north shoulder. Consequently, the right side of the vehicle collided with a tree. The vehicle continued in motion and the front end collided with another tree. He sustained major injuries and was flown to Doctors Medical Center, Modesto.

He was arrested at the hospital for driving while under the influence of a controlled substance. Due to his injuries he was released to the hospital for medical care.
