San Andreas, CA…Early this morning CHP received a report of a collision on SR-4 and Horseshoe Drive. A man was driving his Chevy northbound on Horseshoe Drive and was stopped at the intersection of SR-4 preparing to turn right.

He proceeded to turn eastbound on SR-4 and failed to yield to an oncoming motorcyclist who was traveling at approximately 65 m.p.h. After attempting to apply his brakes forcefully, the motorcyclist lost control of his bike which overturned and fully ejected him. After the collision the vehicles were moved to the right shoulder to facilitate the flow of traffic. The Chevy driver sustained no injury. The motorcyclist was transported to Doctors Hospital in Modesto for major injuries.
