Murphys, CA…On Sunday October 9th the Bret Harte FFA hosted its’ 26th Annual Cow Pie Social event at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys.
It was a fun-filled family day with bounce houses, face painting, volleyball, and golf for the kids, as well as a tri-tip dinner prepared and cooked by the Bret Harte FFA Boosters. For the adults, there was a horseshoe tournament and Chicken Chip Bingo game. Cattle were brought to the corral by our very own Ref-Turd-Rees, Maddie Walraven and Mason Davis who were the official judges to determine the winner of the Cow Pie drop. Attendees anxiously waited to see if a cow pie would drop in their square and be a winner of $200, $300, or $1000. The $1000 winner of the 26th annual cow pie drop was Cory Bolton of Bolton Construction. A special thank you goes to Ironstone Vineyards, the Kautz Family and the Bret Harte FFA Boosters for helping to making this annual event a success. We hope everyone will come to see where the Cow Pie drops next year and continue supporting the agricultural youth of the Bret Harte FFA Chapter!
