Jackson, CA…It’s wonderful to share gifts of home preserved foods during the holidays, but it’s even better when those gifts are eaten as part of a delicious meal. In addition to giving food gifts, share recipes and meal suggestions on how to use the food you lovingly prepared.
The UCCE Master Food Preservers of Amador and Calaveras counties present an inspiring two-hour class sharing some of their favorite preserved food gifts and recipes that use them.
UCCE Master Food Preserver volunteers are agents of the University of California and work through the UC Cooperative Extension to educate the community on the safe practices of food preservation, including pickling, sausages, preserves and much more.
The class will be held at the Amador County GSA Building, 12200-B Airport Road, Jackson. For more information please contact Joanne at (209) 304-7819 or visit us at http://ucanr.edu/mfpcs.
