Camp Connell, CA…Fischer was stopped at the intersection of Meko Drive and SR-4, preparing to make a left turn from Meko Drive onto westbound SR-4. A Sacramento Woman was driving eastbound on SR-4 approaching Meko Drive. The collision occurred when Fischer pulled out onto SR-4 directly in front of her. She attempted to take evasive action to avoid the Toyota but subsequently the front of her Jeep collided with the drivers side of the Toyota. Both vehicles came to rest in the intersection of SR-4 and Meko Drive.

Despite efforts of emergency personnel on scene, John Paul Fischer, 75 from Stockton was pronounced deceased at the scene.
