The Sonora Police Department contacted the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department, who sent a Deputy to contact and detain Page until an Officer from the Sonora Police Department could arrive to speak with Page regarding the accident.

Page readily admitted to the crime, stating he left the scene of the accident because he could not find a place to pull over after striking the pedestrian with his vehicle. Damage was located on Page’s vehicle, which was consistent with the description of the collision provided by witnesses.
Page was transported to the Tuolumne County jail and booked for felony hit and run.
