San Andreas, CA…Stuff the Bus events are coming soon to local grocery stores. In this holiday tradition, Calaveras Transit teams up with the Resource Connection Food Bank Santa’s Express to collect food for hungry Calaveras County families. Shoppers help stuff Calaveras Transit buses with non-perishable food items and frozen turkeys.

Help make a difference with a contribution at Stuff the Bus events the first three Saturdays in November from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at these locations:

Nov. 5 at SaveMart Foods in Angels Camp, Treat’s General Store in San Andreas, and Sierra Hills Market in Murphys.

Nov. 12 at Big Trees Market in Arnold, SaveMart Foods in Angels Camp and Mar-Val Food Store in Valley Springs.

Nov. 19 at Young’s IGA in Copperopolis, SaveMart in Angels Camo, and Mar-Val Food Store in Valley Springs.

Donations will help ensure that all Calaveras County residents enjoy great holiday meals. Santa’s Express relies entirely on community donations and volunteers. If you’d like to volunteer at any of these family-friendly events, please call the Food Bank at 209-754-1257.
