Vallecito, CA…Back by popular demand, our 7th Annual Caroling in the Cave Concert at Moaning Cavern on Saturday, December 17th at 6pm features the talented local choir Jazz@8 from Summerville High School. Beautifully arranged carols sung a cappella in multi-part-harmony come to life in this spectacular environment with its incredible natural acoustics.

Some carols will be designated “sing-along” so you can join in with the carolers.

Towards the end of the evening, our adventurous Santa will rappel 165-feet to the bottom of Moaning Cavern’s main chamber to distribute gifts to guests.

Tickets are just $22 each for the upper platform, the spiral staircase, or the lower platform. Bring two non-perishable, holiday food items to donate and receive $2 off your admission. Food donations will be delivered and benefit the Interfaith Community Social Services of Sonora, CA.

Moaning Cavern is a natural, marble underground environment with a comfortable temperature of 61°F. To attend this concert, dress in jeans, t-shirt or sweatshirt and tennis shoes and bring a pillow to sit on.

Please bear in mind that, as a living cave, Moaning Cavern does drip water occasionally. We call these droplets “cave kisses.”
