Amador County, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the right and left turn lanes on northbound and southbound State Route 49 (SR-49) from Clinton Road to South Avenue in Jackson for traffic signal work. Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, there is no scheduled road work for Thursday (November 24) or Friday (November 25).

Work will begin Monday, November 21, 2016, through Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

In addition, one-way traffic control will occur on SR-49 from SR-16 to Bush Street in Plymouth for pavement work on Monday, November 21, 2016, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/ or materials and construction related issues.
