Amador County, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various road construction activities on State Route 88 (SR-88). Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, there is no scheduled road work for Thursday (November 24) or Friday (November 25). Work will occur as follows:

A moving closure of the #1 (left) lane on eastbound and westbound SR-88 from Jackson Creek to Ione-Buena Vista Road for striping operations on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-88 from Columbia Drive to Shake Ridge Road for drainage work beginning Monday, November 21, 2016, through Wednesday, November 23, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-88 from Silver Lake Campground to the Amador/Alpine County line for paving operations beginning Monday, November 21, 2016, through Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 10-20 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/ or materials and construction related issues.
